這驅使我把猜火車又再重看了一次

很像嗎

世界在變
the world is changing ,
and the music is changing ,
even the drugs .

資料說 猜火車 是英國以前流行的一種遊戲
一個人躺在鐵軌上
猜火車從哪一邊開過來，開向哪裡
然後在火車很靠近時離開鐵軌

火車也許就像是著命運與人生
一個人必須判定他人生的方向
卻又對人生中一些既定的模式反抗
在是非對錯、自己和家人朋友間徘徊
但最後，仍走回了這個模式
和一般人相同的工作、生活

如果觀眾的成長背景一直和片中的生活完全隔離
乍見之下，難免覺得噁心
這是很自然的
但是如果能跨越過這一道藩籬
就會同意它的運鏡確實是很有頹廢美感
鏡頭的節奏也抓得非常好

"猜火車"會這麼有震撼力
運鏡及色彩的運用出色之外
一部分是因為這是根據導演訪談許多吸毒人口的經驗拍的
有極寫實的細節，說服力很高
感覺上，人物刻畫很立體
不是宣導片的一維空間
也不是一般電影的二維空間
而是真實人生的四維五維...以至於說不清理還亂的超連結空間

這就是"猜火車"的魅力所在
讓我們很貼近的，很真實的進入一個邊緣文化

總而言之
英國人真的很帶種
從高中到現在看了這部片無數次
每次感覺都還不一樣
唯一相同的是

總會滿腦子迴盪著 Blur 的那首 Sing，Eno 的 Big Blue Day，當然還有 Underworld 的 Born slippy
最重要的是
媽的蘇格蘭腔實在是太性格了

Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers.
Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments.
Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage.
Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics.
Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday morning.
Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth.
Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home,
nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves.
Choose your future. Choose life...

But why would I want to do a thing like that?

I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else.
And the reasons? There are no reasons.
Who needs reasons when you've got heroin? .
